The Wedbush Rates group specializes in relative value trading strategies and execution in U.S. Treasuries, financial futures and options, and repo financing. The group includes Scott Skyrm, Arthur Bass, and Martin Schepsman, who are all industry veterans. Typically, strategies include spreads, butterfly spreads, and Treasury bond basis trades. Scott is Managing Director, Fixed Income Financing, and Futures & Rates. He has an extensive background in repurchase agreements (‘repo’) and nearly 30 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining Wedbush, he managed the repo desks at Newedge and ING Barings. He is also a noted author of several books; “Rogue Traders” and “The Money Noose – Jon Corzine and the Collapse of MF Global”. He holds his Series 7, 24, and 63 FINRA licenses. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Science in Economics from Lehigh University.

Arthur E. Bass

Managing Director, Fixed Income Financing, Futures, and Rates

Arthur is Managing Director, Fixed Income Financing, Futures, and Rates. He has close to three decades in the financial services industry – more specifically in the Futures and Options, and Fixed Income business. Prior to joining Wedbush, Arthur was a Managing Director at COEX Partners. He also served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Financial Futures and Options in New York at Societe Generale/Newedge for 18 years. He holds his Series 4, 5, 7, 24, and 63 FINRA licenses. Arthur graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and earned his MBA from New York University.

Martin A. Schepsman

Martin is Senior Vice President, Fixed Income Financing, Futures, and Rates. He holds his Series 3, 5, 7, 30, and 63 FINRA licenses. Prior to joining Wedbush, he served as Managing Director of BTIG, Inc. and as First Vice President of Newedge USA. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stony Brook University, and earned his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
